Tool Tool Toolerson

i have the new tool cd now and I think it is really good. Like all the other cds this one is having to grow on me some, but it is. It def. is. They have great songs on this album and I am really happy about that. I love songs on albums. I also like movies on DVDs. yes, this is weird. final point. i love the new tool album like a child. i love children also, not in that way, that way, the good way, the loving way. tool. horrible at typing right now. topaz just finished its long 1.5 year run as a thursday open mic. These things seem to come and go rather quickly. We may or may not be able to have future shows at Wonderland Ballroom, we'll know soon enough hopefully. Seems like we aren't making much headway in getting more open mics started. We really need to pull together on this as comics and get these things up and running. Jon and amy and myself and jay are back to looking for another room possibly two. Hopefully we'll find something soon. If you are a comic in the DC area, don't be afraid to approach venues about getting future shows. We need them. We need an outlet to practice and learn and grow. More than we have. I think right now most local comics perform once or twice a week at open mics. Some get booked gigs on weekends but even those are somewhat limited. practic space is getting smaller, especially with newer comics joining the scene every single day. We have to start more rooms. There is no choice. If you are a comic that wants to practice and grow in DC as a performer you have to put a hand into this community and help get more rooms. Don't expect someone else to start a room for you. there are plenty of places and spaces to do this, we just need to get on the ball about it.

Tool is one of the few bands that when they record, you just go and get it. No need to wait for "the word". Also, if there is a better drummer than Danny Carey, I haven't heard him.-Mike O'Hara
