bloggity blog bloggerson

I have recently decided to start using my blog to discuss my opinions on standup and the philosophy of performing standup and improv comedy. This (for right now) is really where my head is and what I like writing about the most. I really enjoy it as a topic of discussion. I enjoy talking about comedy more than anything in the world. I love giving my opinion on comedy every single chance I get. I don't really know what this blog thing is for, entertainment for others or a place for myself to vent about myself and others. I find it more entertaining for other comics and fans of comedy to read (assuming that they are) my philosophies and ideas on comedy and either express their own, talk with me about mine and theirs or perhaps learn something from someone elses point of view. Everyone has one and they're all unique. Everything I do in comedy has been a result of me learning from other comics' philosophies and performances and talking with comics about that very thing. I could decide to write my opinions on other things that don't really lend themselves to open discussions like (my annoying trip to CVS to get my film developed and why the guy behind the counter irritated me and it really upset me and I hate him now and why can't the world be the way I see it) but that could possibly be interpreted as simply a self-absorbed recount of something that I personally went through and felt. I don't write my opinions on this blog with the hopes that it will inspire or enlighten someone but I will say a lot of my inspiration and education has come from reading about other comics philosophies and experiences through their blogs/websites/articles. I consider it selfish not to pass along what I learned. So I am going to continue to write about what I think about standup and performance art. Sorry if it isn't as entertaining as other entries. Random House isn't publishing my work anyways.
