Todd Glass is awesome and other things

Todd Glass is awesome. He is now one of my absolute favorite comedians. Not only because he is an amazing entertainer that has so much fun on stage but he is also a really nice guy. He thanked the emcee (Matt Sapsford, who did an awesome job) and the feature act, like 4 times throughout the set. Just being genuine with the audience and the other comics was an awesome and rare thing to see. I love his style of comedy. If you ever have the chance to see him, do not miss that show, it will be insane and you will love it. Also, this wednesday night August 9th, be sure to check out the comedy show at the Arlington Cinema N Drafthouse. The N stands for And, I think. Here is a flyer for the show. Doug Powell will be headling and Marshall Henry and Herbie Gill are also on this awesome packed show of wonderment and joy. Is "awesome packed" a phrase? I don't think it is but you get the point. Okay since BLOGGER sucks, I don't have a picture to come up. I will work on trying to get it to work later on. Sorry. Blogger sucks. Blogger.

I have seen Todd Glass numerous times over the years and each time I see him I leave the show with the same thought in my head "I don't get it". For me to call him a comedian is a stretch....he barely does jokes. Is his act entertaining? I suppose...although not to me...when I go to a comedy club I like to hear a coherent act with jokes that are just that....jokes. I suppose he is "entertaining" but I don't find someone on stage just kinda jacking around or "having fun" funny, or genius. I have seen him easily lose an audience for a WHOLE
show and not even try to get them back...which in my opinion is not what a comedian is there for...you are there to entertain as many people as you possible can, not a small sect......is everyone gonna appreciate you? NO. But you definetly want more than less. Is that selling out? Again, in my opinion no....the job is to entertain..that is why we are called entertainers. Do I have fun on stage? Yes I do but I don't let my fun overshadow the audiences fun......just my opinions
