Greatest Weekend ever.

Friday: Leave work early because I'm lazy and don't have the energy to sit at work and not do stuff. I know that sounds weird but it makes perfect sense to me and lets be honest, I'm the only one that reads these damn things. I get in the car with Ryan Conner to head up to Balitmore. We were going to the Baltimore Comedy Factory so that Ryan could host the Rob Cantrell weekend shows. Justin Schlegel was also performing as the feature. So yes, I was psyched about the shows I was going to see, I love all 3 comics. Unfortunately the traffic made me so mad I wanted to stab Ryan in the face with a cassette player and eat his heart with a side of "i hate you now ryan ice cream." Baltimore is usually a 45 minute trip. It took Ryan and I 2 and a half hours. We get to the club and Rob asked me if I'd like to do a guest set. I love Cantrell and thought that was so awesome that he would offer such a spot. I really wanted to do one on the late show so the club could see me and possibly book me for future shows. Unfortunately the "comedy" rules in Baltimore are different. Here in DC at the Improv, the headliners can usually get other comics on. In Baltimore thats called "way too easy to evaluate new talent for free that would possibly be booked for future dates." I can't wait for the Comedy Factory to have their annual "i don't respect the art of standup comedy so lets hold a huge money-making competition and call it the "funniest person in baltimore contest" where crap comics can come up here and bring 50 people and get voted to the semis and the finals for not even being funny but brought so many people with them." In case that was confusing, the audience votes for the best comics. And the comics bring the audience. Do the math, then catch up. The club benefits from this tremendously by dousing themselves in 10 dollar bills, numerous ones, after every show. I need to stop using so many quotations. Anyways, my brosefs were great in every show. Ryan, Justin were awesome and Rob is great in every show that I have ever seen him in. Truly an awesome comic on the rise. www.robcantrell.com if you are interested in learning more. Saturday: blur Sunday: more blurrerish. I can't tell you what happend on Sunday, but just know that I am apart of something that is going to explode into something big. I have joined forces with a few awesome superheros and we are going to take the world apart. So I guess you should be scared rather than excited. We probably won't hurt anyone in the "world-taking apart" ceremony. More later, tired.
